Driving back home from Montreal, we decided to make a little detour to Mont Tremblant to see what all the fuss is about. The ‘little detour’ added an unexpected whopping 2 hours to our total driving time. Note to self: stop estimating driving time by eye. But it was all worth it in the end, even if it was just to remind me of how out of touch I am with all things nature.
Mont Tremblant is a pleasant cleverly engineered touristic attraction, everything you need for an active outdoorsy weekend with the kids. They thought of absolutely everything. And it’s even better in winter, when ski season kicks in. For this impromptu visit, we kept it short and sweet. We started with a leisurely discovery stroll around the amusement area, took a disorienting ride on a Gondola lift, followed a short hiking trail, let the kids loose in a splash pad, had a satisfying meal where I was taught the difference between baby kale and spinach, petted a terrier pup by the name of Giorgio, and called it a day. There is definitely a lot more to discover here. We’ll be back, for sure.
